TECHNOLOGY
Each switch field is metal-enclosed and optionally stackable. It consists of stainless-steel sheeting with hermetically sealed gas compartment filled with SF6 gas. An in-built gas filling nozzle enables evacuation or refilling of the switch field, complying with the environment-friendly recuperation of the SF6 gas. The drive cabinet and a separate low-voltage cabinet are accessible from the front.
The gas-tight welded gas compartment features an assembly opening at the front covered with a flange plate. Sealing is effected by an O-ring. On the front flange plate, the switchgear drives are mounted together with the required accessories (actuator, auxiliary switch, motor drive etc.). On the housing´s back is a rupture disk, which opens in the event of an arc fault.
In case of malfunction, the arc fault resistant cable terminal compartment will release backwards or downwards.
