Located in Luxembourg since 1993, KÖHL AG covers the divisions of Electrical Engineering, Systems Technology, Plant Engineering and Robot Systems.  

Electrical Engineering is your competent partner for operational safety and servicing for electrical drives and machines. The package of services includes: On-site maintenance and repairs, rewinding of three-phase motors and DC motors, complete mechanical servicing, performance of lathe work, milling work and drilling work, balancing of rotors and ventilators, manufacturing of special motors and maintenance and repairs of pumps, lifting gear and complete plants.  

The Systems Technology unit was founded in 1986 in Trier as switchboard plant construction department. Since then it has displayed sustained growth as an innovative automation company. In spring 1999 we moved particularly high-growth parts of System Engineering to Wecker in Luxembourg. Today, the Systems Technology division plans and produces TSK and Pehla certified standardised energy distributions. In the area of automation, we cover every aspect of automation projects for the industry - from planning right through to commissioning. Planning, programming, visualisation, networking and commissioning are all available from a single source. This results in a competent service provider for the area of industrial automation, who coordinates and uses the resources available in the KÖHL Group to maximise benefits for customers.  

The Robot Systems department is an innovative team with plenty of experience in planning and implementing customer-specific systems applications and automation plants with industrial robots, peripherals and user-friendly control solutions. We develop and implement solutions ranging from self-sufficient robot applications right up to total solution packages for more complex automation plants, covering all aspects from planning right up to implementation and a comprehensive aftersales service. We can also supply as standard plants for applications in which they are subjected to increased emissions. In order to ensure that these systems deliver the best possible performance, we use the latest industrial robots, task-specific gripper systems, logistically co-ordinated materials handling technology and, as the main control system, Siemens PLC controllers. Our plant visualisation systems are based on PC technology and are designed for maximum user-friendliness.


The Plant Engineering division specialises in highly available energy distribution and automation systems. Innovative product and system ranges more than meet the increasingly high market demands in terms of safety, availability, functionality and cost awareness. Our service profile is rounded off with professional advice and project planning services, right up to expert commissioning and comprehensive aftersales services.As a general contractor, we provide planning and tracking services for large-scale projects and co-ordinate the deployment of subcontractors.
