Emergency power systems

Emergency power systems are a safety guarantee. They kick into action when the conventional power supply fails. The response is fully automated so that the emergency does not turn into a disaster.

Emergency power systems can bridge interruptions in the power supply for long periods of time, whereas a UPS system is designed to absorb temporary fluctuations and interruptions in the power supply.

In order to maximise the benefits of the emergency power supply, you will need a well-coordinated load management system which takes into account the requirements of all parts of the building which need to be supplied.

When the power supply is transferred from the USP to the emergency power supply, it must be ensured that it is done gradually. This is because this is the only way to prevent the emergency power supply from being overloaded and the USP from starting back up again. By co-ordinating both units with each other you can create an intelligent solution for an uninterruptible power supply.
