Electricity remuneration according to the Renewable Energies Act

- The amended Renewable Energies Act came into force on August 1, 2004.
- Biogas plants are subsidised for up to 20 years depending on their size and the substrates used.
- Various bonus rulings have been introduced, e.g. for exclusive use of renewable raw materials, such as liquid manure and /or brewer grains from agricultural distilleries (so-called "NaWaRo" bonus) (see table).
- The annual feed rate is reduced by 1.5 % for every new plant which is taken into operation.
